VEVOR Vinly cutter blade

Hello , today I received my 28” VEVOR vinyl cutter
I also have some DeTape 650 gloss vinyl , when I’m setting up the blade the only way I can get it to cut is if the blade is all the way out of the holder and 450g of force and even at that it barely cuts the top layer

Am i doing this right , this is my first vinyl cutter any help is appreciated thank you

Remove your blade holder from the cutter (leaving the blade in position) and try cutting through the vinyl by hand, to get a rough idea of the force needed for a decent cut, and whether your blade is blunt or chipped.

Check whether the blade of the cutter is sharp, or the blade is installed incorrectly.

Normally, the force value does not need to be that high.
I checked that our cutting machine can easily cut the gloss vinyl at a force value of 280g, and the blade only needs to be exposed for a small part.
