CorelDraw X4-----But how to LEARN the darn thing?!?! I've had it installed for 2 1/2 weeks and can't seem to learn a darn thing. I bought a book from Amazon...about a zillion pages long...DRY reading, and it's killing me to try to learn a THING. I was hoping for a "Dummies" book, but I can't find one at all.

Mind you, I'm not computer illiterate. I've been on computers since before Windows, and since the first version of Office. Although, this is my first graphics program to learn.

Anywhere to go that won't cost me ANOTHER arm & leg for tutorials/help/guidance?

I finally have my entire setup(printer was the last purchase) and I NEED to learn this program.

ARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!
Help please!

It just seems daunting because it's new. Most of us learned, Like Dave said, just by doing. If there are no Dummy books on it, it's because honestly, it is that easy to learn. I've never had to pick up a book, or back in the day when it came with manuals, open one. Whenever I get in a jam, I use the F1 key, or ask here.

Start with these free tutorials from Lynda. They are excellent and will give you a good jump start. CorelDRAW Tutorials & Training

And don't hesitate to come back here to ask questions. There are some pretty heavy Coreldraw users who are always helping.

I am self taught in Corel, and I'm using X4.
I did a lot of trail and error. Then I got smart and checked out a book from the library then bought a couple of how to books and watched a butt load of you tube videos.

To work better for T-shirt design I bought Danes book:
T-shirt Artwork simplified
and
from Digital Art Solutions I bought a training CD called:
Mastering the Basics
But I can't seem to find it on the new web site.

Either way, I find that I really enjoy working in Corel Draw now that I have a better handle on working smarter.

Good luck.
