Hi, i recently had an order for 5 t-shirts. Because of its convienience, i used the avery iron on transfers. after one wash, i got complaints about the designs bleeding and cracking. Am i suppose to wash the garment first? Is there a better method to prevent this from happening?

Avery transfers are...let's say hobby-like...they were the first type I used when I was starting out three years ago. They are not professional-looking to try to sell commercially. There are far more better papers sold by our preferred vendors listed on the left. Also a heat press gets better pressing results than a home iron.

Most likely, the color ink in the HP is water-based. (Problem #1).

Avery transfers may not provide the best results (Problem #2)

A home iron may not provide the best results (Problem #3)

If you used this formula to make a nifty shirt for yourself or child for some special occasion, it works well ... but it is not the formula to use to create a retail quality garment.
