Transfer paper rips during peeling

Hi guys, I just got some transfer paper for white t-shirts from BestBlanks. I'm upset because the instructions say hot peel, yet when I peel my transfer from the shirt - most of the transfer gets stuck on the paper and the image is ruined.

What should I do? I'm following the instructions correctly. I also press the shirts beforehand to get rid of the moisture. Also using a teflon sheet above my transfers, not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Any nice tips or good advice to help a fellow T-shirt presser out? Thanks for reading.

It's hard to know what the problem is as you didn't mention the paper the paper you're using and the instructions you're following. Different sellers have different instructions for the same paper.

For example, Red Grid will do exactly what you describe when you peel when super-hot, and especially if the fabric surface is a little textured. Nine out of ten instructions for Red Grid say to peel hot, but I've found it's better to wait 5-8 seconds, and sometimes longer for canvas. As Rogershirts points out, on any new paper you use you should do tests first. Don't waste shirts and paper trying to get someone else's instructions to work. Who knows where they get their info, and how old it is.
