This issue has been resolved according to Roland. A new driver update was released on 9/6/2024. Go to Download Center - Roland DG and enter your cutter model. Click on the SOFTWARE link. Click on the CAMM-1 DRIVER link. A list of drivers by Windows O/S is displayed. Download your specific driver. During the installation you will need to first UNINSTALL your cutter. Then re-run the install and INSTALL your cutter. There is a README.TXT file with instructions that are the same as your initial installation. It took my Win10 system a few minutes to recognize my GX-24 was installed again, but after that everything worked fine. HOWEVER - I have NOT installed a Windows Update since removing the 3 that Roland said were causing issues. I then paused updates (and another has been released) so I am 4 updates behind. My cutter is working and I couldn't care less about Win updates.

nathan_6055 "There is an issue with a Windows update that was issued overnight with our cutters that is causing the same things that you have described. If you uninstall Windows update KB5039212 (Win 11) or the latest feature update on Win 10 the problem is resolved. This has resolved the issue - you are a legend 😁
How do I uninstall an update? My machine has been working since they update. It has stopped in the last week. Today is sept 30th. Any ideas?

I am having the same issues as others with the GS-24. I somehow got one cut done today, but just like others when I send it to cut, it makes the start up noise and then a tiny move like it is going to start moving and will not cut. It will cut a test, but does not cut when sending a file to it to cut. I've uninstalled a bunch of windows updates but haven't had any success.

Help! My Roland GS-24 cutter has been working fine and now all of the sudden when I send it to cut, it makes the start up noise and then a tiny move like it is going to start moving and cutting and will cut a test, but does not cut when sending a file to it to cut. I have tried different files and have uninstalled the software and driver and it is still doing the same thing. It is as if it is going to start cutting, but just doesn't and does not move. I thought it might be the printer cord, but if it is sending it to cutter it maybe wouldn't do anything at all and I'm not getting any error messages??? Thank you!!!
I have resolved my issue and hopefully this will help any others that still having the same issue as I tried EVERYTHING...
I did do a compatibility troubleshoot and it changed it to an older windows version and no longer have to uninstall windows updates every time and my cutter has worked fine every time since. :)
