This was the response from Roland. It worked form me.

"There is an issue with a Windows update that was issued overnight with our cutters that is causing the same things that you have described.
If you uninstall Windows update KB5039212 (Win 11) or the latest feature update on Win 10 the problem is resolved.

Going forward we will hopefully be in contact soon with a permanent solution."
Nathan,

I can see this exact update was installed on 6/12/2024, it's under quality updates for Windows 11. There is a Learn More button, but I don't see away to uninstall the update. Am I missing it somewhere? Thank You!

Please help...
I have a Roland camm1 GS-24
Same thing. I tried reinstalling The Roland the Cut studio software, changed different cables and used different usb sockets on my PC. No luck.
I went in to the history of MS updates, didn't find KB5039211 (Win 10) update but found (Servicing Stack 10.....) bunch of numbers update on June 11, 2024. Right clicking but it won't extend a window for me with "uninstall" option. Tried hitting Delete button.... nothing.
Please help

Hey T
Thank you for the link but it’s shows to remove KB5039211.
Tomorrow I’ll try to locate the file you provided. We’ll see if that would work.
I opened my laptop that was last updated in May and it did the job but I want it to work from my work station.
well that's good, at least you know it's windoze

although i use linux, i still keep a windoze partition for running some graphics/cutter programs, but i turn off all windoze updates, and have since xp

below is the pic from that link with the update number they highlighted

So, I opened the history but for some reason I'm not able to find that updated that's on screenshot. Is there maybe a hidden folder?

not sure about that

i would delete every update to the date it went sideways with the cutter, or try a restore point prior

another option is to try re-installing the cutter program (delete everything, even registry items, don't use the program/windoze uninstaller, use revo uninstaller, it's free and works well)

if not, then try running in compatibility mode to another windoze os

Help! My Roland GS-24 cutter has been working fine and now all of the sudden when I send it to cut, it makes the start up noise and then a tiny move like it is going to start moving and cutting and will cut a test, but does not cut when sending a file to it to cut. I have tried different files and have uninstalled the software and driver and it is still doing the same thing. It is as if it is going to start cutting, but just doesn't and does not move. I thought it might be the printer cord, but if it is sending it to cutter it maybe wouldn't do anything at all and I'm not getting any error messages??? Thank you!!!
I'm having the same issues lost thousands of pounds of work , contacted trolands no help .

My machine is GX24. Same situation.Hope it working after uninstalling the update The Cutstudio sends the job to the printer, then the job finishes in a very very short moment I use Notepad to send printing jobs, and it works fine. So I think the problem comes from the CutStudio

That worked back in June. Now it is doing it again. Any suggestions from Roland?

Finally got it back to working after several hours of trying to uninstall window updates but that is exactly what it took. Sure hoping this is not a monthly ordeal. Good luck all!
I am beginning to seriously dislike Microsoft. I tried uninstalling every update since mid June, when the problem startedand was rectified by uninstalling 5039211 - 1 update wouldn't uninstall - and it still didn't work. My son found a printer update on one of the packages (he went into the command prompt, found it and deleted it) and after that it works. I don't even dare to go into command prompt and I don't even know if my inkjet printer still works. I've had my Roland for about 17 years and only updated drivers when I had to adopt the various new versions of Windows. The arrogance is astounding.
