ned kelly copyright

Hi
just wondering about copyright for Ned Kelly.
Doing a job at the moment with Ned's Helmet (which the customer got from a photo of Ned's actual gear in a museum) with 2 dragoon colt pistols in front of him.
As there are so many images of Ned would this go against copyright

Hi,
I was wondering along a similar line but regarding sportsman and woman! If I wanted to put sporting action prints on to a T Shirts what would be the copyright and legalities involved??

No problem with copyright if the client took the photo, I don't think that Ned Kelly trademarked his helmet so no problem there. I'm not sure if the museum would have rights to the image of the helmet though.

Hello. I agree that the ned kelly helmet should be fine.

As for the sports people - not sure, I know it's okay if the design is a parody of those people using their image. As for non - parody stuff , don't know. .
