Ok , well it took me to get this thing built because I really took my time . finally got it together and now Im stuck on the problem of needing a RIP for transparencies . Im not gonna pay hundreds for one there is no way !! I have a epson 1280 printer which I want to use to print transparencies . The main problem here is that I use linux . I think Ill be installing a virtual machine this week to run Photoshop and ghostview for ghostscript either that or just stick with linux based gimp like I have been using and write a script for ghostscript I can run ..... A little more research is needed . I really need to get printing with this thing as it is staring me in the face every day now .

thanks goes out to brojames and others in the PI section of the forums . I found our threads via google and used google translate to decipher loads of the thread on DIY tableline units . For those of you that dont know translating fillipino into English doesnt work that well but I managed to figure it out . not pictured is the regsistration system . i can post more pictures if needed yet I got things to do right now ! enjoy !

Ill upload pictures tonight . pls know this isnt done . it needs bracing on the bottom . Ill take shots later tonight of what I got worked up so far for you though .

I got most of the kinks worked out with getting designs flowing yet got hung up installing CS5 in My virtual Machine but I think I gonna give up on that and do some designs in gimp since I now have GV in linux working good .

stay tuned Ill get those photos up here in a bit .

oh ok taking some pictures now . its a pipe I found in the trash cut down and I tapped the hole to except the machine screw in it .I will be using the eye-hooks from the frame bottom to the l-angle to keep that in check .

Im working on designs now and hope to have braces kinida like the video Brojames posted were there is only one platen . A type of cross brace support . Stay tuned .I promise to have the thread updated with what I make it might just take a week or two .

Ok , finally got ghostview/ghostscript working and printing in Debian linux from GIMP . Im laying down so much ink that its smearing now on nonwaterproof R-Film . I found that there are two to three (eew) hairs in the rollers dragging through the thick ink which I cleaned out just now. Its now takes a very long time to dry with all the ink.looks like Im well on my way to start printing here very soon .Read about how I got GV to work with linux at the following link . http://www.t-shirtforums.com/screen-printing/t167551.html

does ghostview allow you to adjust ink density and uni or bidirectional printing? I though ghost view/ghost script was just a way to print halftones without a postscript printer.. If this is the case I'm very intrigued as I don't care so much for the halftones as much as I care about ink density.
Does it give the ability to print from multiple cartridges or would you need to change your black in your software(corel, illustrator, photoshop, etc) before creating your post script file???

It is just a GUI to view the file before printing.

I don't think you can save ink density information in a file for ghostview to access before printing. You can adjust the contrast and saturation before saving the file though. you can also try gutenprint for GIMP windows. You can adjust ink density oin gutenprint. If you know a little programming you can even tweak the xml file for even denser black.
