Multi Color Printing Question

This question is more out of curiosity.

If one has for example a 4 Color Vastex or Hopkins Jr with micro registration couldn't the screens be swapped out to add additional colors? If the shirt is left in place and the screen realigned couldn't one continue adding colors?

Again this is more out of obscurity for someone on a budget, using a press more for entry to screen printing but still wanting pro results.

I also do understand this may be more time consuming and not feasible for big orders. Right now, i'm doing custom color orders in small runs and looking for a way to not give so much profit to FM Expressions, Versatranz etc.

It is possible on a rotary press with micro tuners on the screen, or some type of registration board, you wouldn't touch the micros on the press. You would essentially be using the roatary press as a line press which can be done. It is just more time consuming then a line press to switch out colors.

If one was needing to multi color like this I would recommend building a small line press maybe 1-4 station. For large orders a larger line press would make production go much faster.
