ink to use on construction paper

My personal printer only print 8 1/2 wide paper. I need to print on construction paper, and we have a Epson 1800 that we use for IQ and Chrom inks. Will either of these work on construction paper? I am going to try it, but if any one has input - I would appreciated it.
