Is anyone color managing their laser printer?

 

Have you asked the vendor who sold you your printer and software?

 

They've been difficult to reach. One is at a trade show and the tech guy's been really busy. He sent me an email on Friday saying he was going to ask someone in Germany about it.

I managed to get a print today that was pretty good, but when I did the final press for curing, it turned dark and dull.

I'm having the exact same issue when passing via Space Control V4. The colours a not right, picture darker etc...
I don't have the same issue when going straight from photoshop to the printer.

I tried to print using CMYK files, RGB files, 8bit -16bit etc... no differences.

 

Have you tried Oki support?
I have a customer very upset over the lack of Oki support.

Funny, I’ve gotten better support from Oki, than I’ve been able to get from The Magic Touch. What sort of things do you need help with?

My customer has a new c8600n printer from Conde. She has only printed about 250 prints with it. She just started to use it and because it has starter cartridges she had to purchase a new set of toner cartridges. She still got a error code I believe 413. She bought a new Oki drum for that color black. She can,t get it to go away. Tried to reset it called Oki and saton hold for 45 minutes and with know solution. She has done everything. I tried to call Oki for her and the same results. She is calling Conde Monday for some help.
Great person and it is a shame to be treated like Oki is doing.

Is it a mistype that she replaced the drum instead of the toner cart ?
Two it might be the toner sensor according to what I read
Three are the Oki made or third party ? I had some issues with 3rd party reading low when brand new and took 3 times before the carts worked.
fourth I get better support from emailing oki support then calling.

 

Your post creates more questions than answers. That printer appears to be old and discontinued. You’re saying she just bought it?

It’s not a white toner printer, is she trying to use it for apparel?

You said she is your customer. What is your role (just curious)? You don’t have to answer that [emoji846].

If she got it from conde, I would expect them to be fairly responsive.

My customer bought the printer new years ago. She only printed about 200 or so prints as she also had a c6150 to use as well.
She asked me if I could help figure out why she keeps getting this error code when she has bought new toners and also a new Oki black drum. I use to sell her my HOTTEE paper for printing onto cotton shirts years ago.
I hope that clarifys your questions.
