Anyone familiar with the older Hix model HT-400? I have one that had been working great. I decided to replace the cord today due to dry rot on the original and a concern for safety. I replaced it with a 14/3 cord like what was on there originally.

I went to test it in the same outlet I always use...a newer GFCI outlet in my kitchen. It blows the breaker. Then, when I reset the breaker and plug it in again, it doesn't do anything...so I think it's blowing it's own fuse at the same time!

Any ideas? I realize this is an electrical/wiring issue more than a press issue but I figure I'd check here first...
