Do I need to do anything to the blank before I press it? Do I wash the blanks before transferring?

I have a vinyl cutter and I am getting ready to start making some t-shirts. I have a JP-12 heat press. Bought some Thermo-flex plus vinyl. Have my blank shirts. Will be pressing on 100% cotton shirts.
Been reading about pressures, tempatures, pre-press, press time, re-press, etc....
Simple questions... Do I need to do anything to the blank before I press it? Do I need to wash the blanks before transferring?

Thanks in advance,
Lou

they're absolutely right ..... assuming of course that you bought your blanks from a wholesale distributor! if you picked them up a few here and there at a retail store they may very well have sizing that will interfere with some processes. you're fine for vinyl applications, but if you're doing inkjet transfers or screen printing you might run into some trouble.
