Are men's tees normally more expensive than women's (the retail prices not wholesale)? If so, what is the number? $5-$15 difference? And this is justified by the amount of supplies used - more fabric, thread etc?
Thanks

oh hold on, u r saying that women's t's are more than men's?

i buy my blanks for about 4, 4 and change for women's fashion cuts. depends on the wholesaler. see i haven't really worked with men's yet. i have the suppliers lined up, and have ordered samples, but haven't made too many orders that's why the pricing is not really registered in my mind yet

When there's a difference it's usually the other way around. But within one manufacturer there normally isn't a difference. It's common for men's and women's shirts to be a difference price, but that's because it's common to use different brands for each (say, Gildan for men's and AA for women's).

I prefer not to have a price difference, and don't whenever possible, but if there's a cost difference then it's worth passing on (unless you think you can raise one to meet the other without negative affect I suppose).

If they are a stand t' and the customer is ordering alot.. say 50 of each kind.. I will charge my customer the same for both.. I think about the order as a whole.. If they want a special shirt.. say spagettie strap, boy beater or like that.. I just basically add the differance that i paid for the shirt into my price to the customer.. so the ladies shirts will be anywhere from 2-4 more than the mens.

Ann, 1st it depends on the operations involved. Our womens shirts have tape around the neck, which is more labor involved. if i were to make the womens shirts exactly like the mens, they would be cheaper. our womens shirts are smaller in width and length. also depends sometimes if it is a stocked item. if it is a custom cut and sew it will probably be a little more. hope this helps. - Edski.
