Dark colored tees vs. Black tees

This may be a dumb question, but I'm completely
new to this so please bear with me.:)

I want to print my own tshirts using the following
colors: slate green, burnt orange, honey, slate blue,
tan

1. Are these colors considered dark? Is any color
other than white considered dark?

2. I'm thinking about using District Threads pigment
dyed tees for the worn-feel and then having them
relabeled. Before I buy samples, has anyone used
these?

Are they good quality for a worn-feeling tee? I've
found them for $4.88 each, is this a good price?

Thanks for your help!

There are different categories of t-shirt colors: Whites, Lights or Mediums, and Darks.
Lights or mediums would be heathered greys, Orange, yellow, lt. green lt. blue, etc.
Darks would be Black, Forest, Navy, Royal, Red, etc.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE District Threads. However, the Desert Wash by broder bros. is a ring spun pigment dyed t and is much softer.

Hope this helps.
