Do not buy a refurb 6 year old TJet 2 printer for that much money. I refurbed a Kiosk (almost the same exact printer) for $2,000 total, with ink included.

One of the better entry level printers is the Spectra 3000 for $7k, IMO.

Neo3 shouldn't be mentioned at all, see how its not a finished product. So why make a **** head comment? Should be happy he even mentioned it.

 

Well, I guess it boils down to the Spectra 3880 and the Neo3. I commend both teams for developing DTG printers for the under $10,000 market.

 

Both the Neo 3 and Spectra 3000 are based off the Epson r3000 which have just been discontinued, so keep that in mind. I would wait for both the Neo 3 and the Spectra 3880 to be completed before jumping in. Spectra is also waiting on the ink reset chip for the Surecolor P-600 (r3000 replacement).

Not sure on the price of the Spectra 3880. The Neo 3 has a introductory price, check with AA to see how long they will be holding the price should you decide to go that way.

I have my order in for the Neo3. Have had great support on my Epson F2000 from All American and the Neo3 provides me a path forward as my business grows. So will have more information to share soon.

Yes, but keep in mind any DTG manufacture must be approved in order to obtain print heads for their end users. I know I have to give my Spectra 3000 serial # in order to buy the print head, I like to keep an extra because 1 day I will need it, probably in the middle of a rush job.

So make sure any printer considered is approved.

It will soon be cheaper to buy working 3000's to use the head.
