Blank shirts pricing from American Apparel?

Hi,

I just wanted to know, if possible, how much blank shirts tend to go for when buying in bulk from from American Apparel. I was quoted $7.80 CAD per shirt by my printer (flat price), but it seems slightly excessive - even if they're a reputable and established name in the business - considering how cheap they can be in other places.

Thank you in advance.

Oh, I didn't know there was a regulation against that.
They get stroppy if people post their pricing; in order to protect the interests of their wholesale customers they (and a lot of their customers) wouldn't want the information to be easily accessible to retail customers (although the fact is it is; AA's pricing varies less than most companies, and is easier to find than most companies).

Without being specific, $7.80 CAD is more than the wholesale price, but since most screenprinters mark up the price of the t-shirts they sell you (sometimes double), it's not necessarily a bad price. You'd need to compare it to other printers.

In Canada what you have to register is your business and with that you can use your business number for pst exemption (because you have to charge pst on your sales) you can also register for gst to become exempt as well (but you only have to collect gst if your sales are over $30,000 a year)

I have to say that $7.80 CAD is a good price for the AA if you are ordering less than 12 (same colour and size) which you're looking at paying even more than that per shirt.

where in Canada are you? I can let you know which distro's carry AA if you're interested but as mentioned above you'll have to register the business.. but hey its only about $50 to do so.

Thank you for replying. I've already registered it, so it should theoretically be alright according to what you're saying. The amount of shirts is over 200, but they're not all the same size and color (I plan on ordering 3 colors and only two sizes, Medium and Large). What would I be looking at here if I were to order through AA?

I'm from Montreal. If you know some distributors here (or close enough), please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it.
