Greetings......

I have a customer that brought in some Hoodies 60 cotton/40 Poly. They would like a black print on the left chest, and small white print on the right sleeve.

I would like to make sure I am using the right inks because this will be the first time printing on 60/40 hoodies.

Left Chest: Triangle Batman Black Plastisol Ink
Right Sleeve: Poly White Plastisol Ink

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...... these are very nice garments and I do not want to ruin any of them as I do not have a way to replace it!

The hoodies may bleed into the white transfer. Its called die migration. You would need special inks for polyesters to avoid this. IDK which inks though but I can tell you transfers do usually have die migrations with the poly blends.

I would have said that the inks you had would be fine. We P-F-P white on any blend, even when using a Poly ink. I have never used a black ink made for polyester because I never felt that there was a bleed or dye migration issue with black ink. If you are doing a lot with this type fabric, I would use a regular, quality black plastisol. It is probably less expensive, reduces your ink inventory, and saves money.
