Hey ROQ, I'll have to check my records on the Gilmore prices. Just to let you know, I'll be selling some laser and inkjet transfers at our cubao store, maybe starting next week. All imported, but not from China. Will have to finish repacking them first. Hopefully next month, I'll be testing some vinyl transfers for cutters. A big worry for me is the pricing. As you know, the transfers can't be considered cheap for all of us here.

Hey, ROQ. TGRAF sells the Roland here, so baka me seminar din sila. There's also a shop in broadway ave, near the mt.carmel church that sells cutters/plotters. I just talked to them today, pero wala silang seminars. There are also some vinyl and signage materials suppliers that gives seminars, Credence is one. I'm also still trying to learn. You can try Graficad also. Their office is Alabang though, but I'm sure you can arrange for them to ship the papers.

Kamusta.. sa caloocan ba kamo...Yung teestudio sa brother ko yun...just visit the store, myroon kami sample pack na mga transfer paper like ironall,the new jetprosoftstreach,bluegrid opaque,transjet and some sublimation paper. Yung mga paper na benta niya ay galing dito sa akin. lahat subok na ng t-shirt forum try mo mag search about transfer paper lalabas yang mga supplies ko pero medyo mahal nga lang kumpara sa china paper.

im checking your package for heat press, would like to know if you have a bigger heat press or yun na right size ng heat press for shirts?

 

Welcome to the forums, cj. A 16x20 size I would say, is the more versatile size for heat press, but a 16x16 or a 15x15 would normally fit an A4 size transfer.

 

and as an additional question to jowney (hehe...) do we have super suede transfer papers here in manila and also foils and 'rubberized' vinyls?

 

hi there. i dunno if this is the thread where i can post my question on the type of printing (i thought that could have something to do with the ink and transfer paper so...)

i'd like to know how rubberized printing and dye sublimation differ in terms of output on the shirt? which is more popular (common)? which can produce glossy type of printout? which type of printing looks like the art is printed out directly on the shirt? thanks.

 

some overseas manufacturers have already released their flock transfers (not sure if they're already available here). Flex transfers are another term for vinyl transfers, and I know for a fact that they are already available in manila, quite pricey though.

Plastisol is more likely as silkscreen while selfweeding almost the same with heat transfer paper. Using selfweeding paper with combination of sublimation ink are better than transfer paper but you are limited in materials. It's good in 50/50 shirt and nylon materials.You can also used selfweeing with combination of flock and foil transfer. Watch this video

Thank you mga kabayan. I'm also seriously considering getting a chromablast system na lang from here, which prints on light 100% cotton shirts as opposed to the artainium system which I am using, which prints on 100% poly. Both systems are okay na sana kaya lang hindi pwede sa dark shirts. Kung pwede man, masyadong komplikado ang process and involves a lot of precision cutting, trial and error and waste of time and money. Kaya siguro plastisol transfers na lang ang gagamitin ko sa darks.

Is there anyone sa Pinas who does plastisol transfers, whereby I just give them my design, they do the transfers and just ship them to me, for me to heat transfer on my shirts here whenever I want to? I can find a lot of those who can do that here, kaya lang I was hoping na mayroon diyan sa atin.

Also, one last question, I hope you guys don't mind (nabasa na rin ako, maliligo na ako ng tuluyan) can anyone recommend tshirt graphic designers in the Manila area who I can collaborate with? He and he wil do the designs while I print them on shirts and try to sell them here. This is a niche that I'm trying to seriously explore here.

Hello Friends! Just to inform you that FujiXerox recently released a very good 4-in-1 laser printer in the market, the Docuprint C3290FS. I'm a big fan of laser transfers and in my opinion, this printer is a very good printer for a start-up business. I've recently tested this printer on some laser opaque transfers and on a thicker (non-oil) laser light transfers and it worked. Of course, the cheaper and thinner oil-based light transfers did'nt worked (as I expected) because that paper can only tolerate lower fuser temperature which can only be found on the bigger (more expensive) oil-based laser printers. What's so good about this printer is the price per copy. They have the lowest price CMYK toner that I've seen. Also and equally important is that it utilizes an "imaging unit" (or the drum as some calls it) which is integrated in the toner. This means that you get to use a brand new drum everytime you replace a toner. It can also do automatic double sided printing/copying, and being 4-in-1, means it can print, copy, scan and fax. imagine those business cards, brochures and invitations that you can finally offer your customers. If the wifey agrees, I plan on getting 1 as a backup to my Canon CLC 1110, which was down for almost 2 weeks waiting for a part to be replaced.

 

How much is the imaging unit cost? Is it on exchange basis?
