ProRIP download

Hello
1st time here I purchased a Uninet icolor540 ProRIP they lady I bought it from bought it January of 2022 I’m having issues trying to get software to download he keeps asking me to basically query path to license if I go to smart cut license it says license is for different version

I just purchased Uninet icolor550 with ProRIP software the lady said she bought it January of this year she gave me dongle switch I tried several times it starts to download when I get to where it says to put the dongle in which already is I hit next then it says
( please enter the correct path to the license file

like jimdtg said, it is the path to your license file

so if you have it in an email, save it to downloads, then right-click on it, click 'Properties' and then highlight where it says 'Location', copy and paste that into your path dialog window

it looks like it is defaulting to 'E:' which means it may still be on your smartcut thumbdrive
have you installed this on your computer yet?

go to page 6 of this for install instructions

sometimes the network is needed to verify purchaser and product (it just sends a query to their servers to recognize it is a legit copy of the software and a legit license)

i wonder if op has gone through the install process in the manual i provided?
if so, and it still does not work, then a call/email to icolor should resolve this

maybe the op is simply not leaving the dongle inserted in their computer when using
Installation software and this manual are located on the USB flash drive that shipped with your software. The iColor® SmartCUT USB dongle must always be inserted when using the software.

This problem is not really network verification issue.
The OP can't complete license installation requirement and as told from first the software comes with dongle.
i thought you had said '...software is not required to set up through a network.'
and i was just letting you know that sometimes a network connection is required to verify authenticity


yes, i know about the dongle being available to op
but as the part in the manual i quoted above states, it must be left in the computer at all times while using prorip

if it is left in, then all op has to do is locate the license file on the dongle and follow the procedure i mentioned above to copy and paste the path

seems like a no-brainer
if all else fails, there is contact info on every page of the manual

hi I know this is an older post but I was wondering if you found the problem? I'm having the same issue

I am having the same issue. I purchased a used Icolor 560 that came with the dongle. It has the software on it and a file under the smartcut file named license key and inside a read only data file with the key info. When I go to install Icolor prorip software I get the same notice. If I choose the folder that the key is in I get the same error as op. I have tried saving key file to desktop with same results. I cannot install just smartcut as you suggested as that is not listed as a program but simply a folder with a manual in it. I have a support ticked submitted but wondering if anyone found a solution to this issue?

Did you managed to be able to sort this, I have the same problem.

it's possible that there is a 'delete license' after x# of installations

so if you bought used and it's not working you will have to get an updated license from icolor (submit a support ticket)
they have dongleless programs now, so they might give you one of those
they are good for 3 activations, then need to be upgraded later
