Adobe has educational versions, and they are feature complete. They are limited only in how they can be upgraded.

 

.... and the educational editions are intended for use in educational situations rather then for commercial production. But who am I to judge, some times it's just too easy to abuse policies intended for the greater good.

 

I purchased my legal copy of adobe creative suite when i was still a college student. As far as the actual programs there are no differences at all between the educational version and the commercial version. But if you are a student and purchase the educational version you get a discount that saves you literally thousands of dollars.

 

my son is attending college to be a graphic artist. He said he would convert any files for me. I have been doing screen printing for 12 years and this is the first time I have tried a raster photoshopped picture. I usually do things just in corel

 

Student copies are the same as commercial ones.
Just keep themstudent id number handy for upgrade purposes.

 

I'd try out the new Adobe Cloud as well. It's a subscription service that has all the Adobe products. I think it's $30 a month as a student.
