Looking for best possible solutions. New printhead, new lines, new dampers. I'm still get streaks when printing reds and blues. Sample pic provided. These particular "flip flops" I had to print 4 times for almost solid coverage. Nozzle checks were good.

For the most part yes.
I usually cringe when I have to print certain designs because I know I'll get a weak color print.
Strange though, I printed those flip flops immediately after without a white underbase and they printed fine. No striping.

I haven't been able to pin point the problem yet. Only fix is to reprint.

My own logo has 5 colors within it. Never have a streaking problem....

carolinacuts,

What you are seeing is color-banding in a peach like color. Will also happen in sky blue, teal and light tans, etc.
EK Print is the cause, not the printer.
When trying to produce lighter pastel range colors, run sample tests first and make a few adjustments in EK to the Ink Settings section: try moving Contrast to a -1 or -2 and bump up the brightness to a +5 or +10.
Make adjustments in small simple increments as this will be easier to see how to "dial-in" the color you are trying to produce.

Photo mode may give you the best "true" colors however, it locks you into a small drop and you may have to double pass the color layer to get proper saturation for longevity in washing.

I usually run at Standard MED/3 for most prints. Also with white underbase, run in CONTENT Mode with slider adjusted to -38 or -40. Will laydown a great white underbase and save on ink a little as well as automated head cleans
