Lately when sending to print to my tjet balzer, after I press the print button on the machine, the bed travels to its starting spot then waits for the print information to be loaded from the pc. More frequently there is a long delay before the printing begins. Several times it has timed out altogether and I have to restart the printer. Other times it has printed white underbase then timed out at the color printing. When the timeout occurs, the computer screen says there was an error in sending to the port. Aside from switching usb cables or usb ports what else should I try?

Some things to check from our Support Department:

Check to ensure the unit is in a "Paper Out" mode with the roll and scissors icons.

Make sure you are using the correct page size 17*30 for the blazer express.

Check the port settings in FastRIP and make sure they are aimed at the Epson 48*0 port.

Have you recently updated any drivers in your computer??? Video or BIOS are usually the culprits in something like this. I had one that took 5 mins to start printing, turned out to be a BIOS driver. May not be the printer, also if possible try another computer to see.

My update occurred during an auto windows update. I removed any updates that were applied back to a time when it worked fine. This could be done thru a restore point to an earlier time.
