How may shirts can I print with a quart

I am new to this and looking at buying some ink. I have bought a few 2oz and 4oz bottles of ink from my local hobby shop and have printed a hand full of shirts but I have seen that I can get more ink for an overall less price off the internet.

So if I buy a quart of black ink on average how many shirts could I expect to get out of it. I know it depends on how much coverage and what not but just a rough estimate for just printing on the back of a shirt.

What is the shelf live of ink?

I have seen some prices that I think are decent, but can anyone recommend a website or brand of ink that you get a lot of bang for the buck?

Thanks for the help

It's really hard to say how much ink can be printed with a quart.

First, the image area and size play a major role. Then there is the ink deposit which is controlled by squeegee hardness, squeegee angle, number of strokes and mesh count. And finally, the ink itself plays a role and no 2 inks are alike in printability, opacity or thickness.

This also makes it very hard to determine actual ink costs per printed shirt. Usually, the ink costs are a few pennies at most.

Ok, I have the same question. I bought a quart of plastisol white ink. The order is a hundred shirts (100 pcs). The image size on the front is 12"x12" and on the back 11"x14". The mesh count of the screen is 110. And it's going to be printed on a gildan 50/50 heather gray. Can you experts help me out if my quarter gallon ink will be enough for the order? Thank you.
