For the garments I want Broder is much higher. I called them and they do not offer discounted case pricing.

 

I'm wondering if you talked to the wrong person. I know Broder offers case pricing, at least to some customers.

You might also want to look at New England Sportswear (NES) since they are also owned by the same company. I usually use Broder or Heritage depending on price and stock availability.

 

Always a reason to have more than one account with wholesalers - AVAILABILITY OF PRODUCT. You can get yourself stuck in a jam if you only use one wholesaler if they run out of a product you need on a deadline (to fill an order?)......Many times I have to turn to more than one supplier to get the sizes and quantities I need......

 

Alpha sells dress shirts and polo's (Devon and Jones) while Broder sells Chestnut Hill. They both sell Adidas, while Broder sells Cubavera.

Apparently Alpha already had my info on file since I have a Broder account, all I had to do was request web access.

 

Yes, they really do carry different items. Alpha also has american apparel and broder does not.

I've never registered with Heritage so I can't help you. You might want to make a new thread about Heritage.

The UPS questions I'm guessing are maybe related to the locations of their warehouses but that is only a guess.

 

Rumor going around here in Philadelphia.. That Alphabroder will be acquiring Bodek and Rhodes.

 

While that is certainly an interesting rumor, is there some reason you chose to post in a 7 year old thread instead of opening a new one?

It seems to be an internet law that newbies will bump the oldest thread they can find.

 

The original question was if it made sense to open an account with both Alpha and Broder. 7 years later, they are one and the same so this entire thread is irrelevant.

On top of that, adding additional companies to their umbrella has nothing to do with the original question from 7 years ago.

If all people are going to do is add irrelevant information to threads, what is the point of having threads? We might as well just have a single thread and have 10000 people posting random thoughts anytime they feel like it.
