Default First shirts

I just finished my first 2 t shirts. They passed the stretch and wash tests. Problem is it seems there's not enough ink and it looks thin. I'm using Speedball Ink (white) on a black shirt. The second shirt I made a couple extra passes. Should I thin the ink out? Or maybe a different mesh? I used a 110 mesh. Any suggestions for a newbie?

Default Re: First shirts

To get solid coverage of white on black, probably need to Print / Flash / Print. Flashing the first layer serves to seal the fabric, so subsequent hits build up on top of that base and get you to the opacity that you want.

Also, might consider using Permaset Aqua Supercover, which probably has more pigment and covering ability than Speedball's ink.

Be sure to add some water back into your used ink after use, else your ink will gradually get uncooperative as it loses moisture to the air and the screen.
