Hi,
I'm using a 43t and a 90t screen with Amex dual emulsion...
Amex Dual Emulsion With Sensitizer | Dave Roper Ltd | Screen Print specialists and suppliers
...and my stencil is starting to break down after about 10 prints.
My 43t breaks down first (I tried to clear a blockage in the mesh with a wet tissue and the emulsion came off) and then my other screen starts to form many pinholes.
My procedure is the following
Degrease screen with washing up liquid thoroughly.
Dry with hairdryer
Coat with emulsion 2:1 in a light safe environment.
Dry overnight
Stick on positive (inkjet transparency, very black, stuck with magic tape)
Expose (Uv light from ryonet, approx 12 min each, no glass)
Wash out until water is clear with a light shower flow
Dry in the sun/expose again to UV for 10-15 mins
Dry again with hairdryer, low power, not too close
Start printing
I've used mainly Hydra White 120
http://www.daveroper.co.uk/store/product/hydra-white-120
As far as I'm aware, this emulsion should be ok for water based ink.
Wondering if anyone has had similar problems?
Thanks
