Exclamation Permaset Supercover RED or other Colors

Can you use Permaset Supercover Red ink (or any color of supercover) on a black shirt without putting down a layer of the white first?

& if I did hit the shirt with white first would it make my red a different color or brighter?

Does it make a huge difference if my red design overlaps my white in some places and doesn't in others?

Yes, supercover is made to cover dark fabric without an underbase. I have printed their scarlet on black shirts; it looks great.

I'm not sure if overlapping it on white would change the appearance or not ... I'm inclined to think that it couldn't make much difference, else it wouldn't be able to cover black up so well if it couldn't cover white up well.

I suggest you do a simple test first to see if the red looks the same with and without white under it.

With the white under the red will pop more

But for a small run I will not bother, just p/f/p could give you the result you want.
