used Veloci-Jet XL . and new Epson R1900 swap or not?

hello, i bought a Veloci jet xl (Used for about 2 years)
it came up with a new (Print Head)
and I have an Epson R1900 which works great, 2 months of use.

the problem:

There is an error at startup (red blinking error).

I Contact Equipment Zone and I have the assistance of a technician ...

for now the problem is not detect.

The question:

Is it a good idea to make a (swap?)

put the parts of the 1900 in the D.t.g.?
I wonder if I do it , I can settle the problem?

your opinion on the matter?

thank you ``bizographics`` for your suggestions.
i did contact Equipement Zone and Alex send me the Adjustment program.
As i did not purchase the printer from them i dont want to insist on support.
Linda was very kind and give me 15 min with a technicien.
but now i have an error (PF / ASF Reset error)
i did the reset...
and like i said i don't want to insist on support from Equipment Zone.
so this is the reason i ask if it was a good thing to do. ( the swap)

after contacting Direct Color Systems they tell me to look at the cable for the ASF sensor.

and Yess!!!:D the wire was dommage ...

look at the pictures for reference :)

so i change it.

but now new error!!!:mad:
i get all ink light solid ( non blinking) plus an error on light 2...

do some one as a idea on the probleme causing it ?

i will appreciate if some one is able to send me the adjustment program for the epson r1900.

Alex from Equipement zone gave it to me but i accidently erased it from my computer.

i contacted them (Equipment Zone) but still waiting on a response from them.

The error light number 2 is ink out error. The 8 solid lights are telling which color the printer thinks is out of ink. In your case it's all 8. Simple reset. Step one is to push the blue button on your control panel and this will disengage the print head carriage a bit over to the left. Step 2 is to push the 2 white reset buttons on the cartridges. Step 3 is to hit the blue button again and this should clear the lights and go into a head cleaning. If the lights do not reset then repeat the steps but on step 2 unplug the carts and plug them back in. Note that this is a common error and you will need to remember how to reset the ink out error.

How long have you had this printer for? Sounds like you could use some training.

ok so here we are... i replaced the Epson Motherboard
change the caping station, the print heed
most of the wire that gose in to the the ink carrier
(some of them was really damaged)
also changed the part that makes contact whit the ink chip ( not shur how they call it)
the pf senser cables...
i practically changed all the parts in this printer
now time to power on!!!
look nice no error, except it wont recognize it as a veloci jet no more
nozzle check nice ( using the ajustement program) but i'm not able print jobs i get (paper jam error)
mi gess is i need to try to reinstall (clean instal)
or reprogram the printer but i don't have the knowledge to do so.
i think the printer is in paper shet mode but is supposed to be on roll paper mode
but like i sand i dont have the knowledge to make it do what it is supposed to do
any suggestion?

I understand that you purchased this printer used from someone. Judging from the pictures you posted the printer was very poorly maintained. I understand that you are trying to save money but at a certain point you would probably save more by having it sent in to be repaired. The poor maintenance seems to have caused numerous problems which can only really be fixed by having a qualified technician go through it.
