I have downloaded a free zen cart template and it came with a plain text editor...I don't understand alot about the files, but I am in my admin page and there is the wysiwyg editor..how to I activate this so that I can edit text on my website?

I think you must create a database, (just one simple, later you can upgrade).

Go to their forums and sites. Zen cart is well documented just follow their instructions to the letter and ask specific questions on their forums. Google is your friend for problems with zen art as well.

I found joomla and virtuemart met my needs better then zen cart.

Does your web host offer any type of web commerce set up. Sounds like it might be money well spent.

You must have your own text editor, like dreamweaver or Context to edit files.
