Hi guys I have been using Yolos Imageclip Laser Light.

When transferring my design in Navy Blue it turns out a dark brown sort of colour. What may the reasons for this be and how do I fix it?

Also when the paper comes through the multi purpose tray does it matter what tray it exits? Through the back or on top of the printer. Thanks.

You can't use the light transfer on dark fabric because the toner is translucent. When the transfer is pressed on dark fabric the color of the shirt will show through and blends with color of the artwork.

Sorry I meant my design is Navy Blue. My t-shirt is white.
It is me. I read it again and you did say Navy Blue design. My bad. In my experience Imageclip Laser Light the color does not shift when heat pressed. It does tend to make the image darker.

Is the artwork vector image or bitmap? Is the color right before pressing the transfer? If not you may have to do color matching using the Color Matching Management Utility that came with the printer.

Or you can try selecting the color mode in the Color tab, Advanced color, Natural then select from the drop down menu as shown below. Read the manual what does modes represent.

Or select Unadjusted option below so that the Graphics software can use the profile.

Imageclip requires high density toner. Click Fine in the Job Options tab below.

Click Advanced button. Select Always use K for 100% Black areas as shown below.

Sometimes I get deeper black if I convert vector image to RGB.

The pop ups above are for my C5200Ne. They are similarly laid out for Oki color laser printers.

Ah okay I will give that a try when more paper comes!

One more thing. When using the multi-purpose tray does it matter where the paper exits the prtiner? I have exit slots at the top and at the opposite side from the multipurpose tray.

You need to have to exit to the rear because a) The paper will have straight path b) Going to the top can get the the image scratched with too match bending c) Too much bending can cause jamming. That is why the multi purpose is suggested to use. To prevent the printer from timing out if the paper is not fed right away click Paper Feed options button then click MTP is Manual Feed check box. Click OK.
