Yellow tinge

I've just pressed a couple of transfers of the same design onto white T-shirts and they are coming out with an unwanted yellow tinge. Designs appeared fine out of the printer. I'm using Jetpro sofstretch, pressing with the recommended 190' for 30 seconds using xpres clamp press. Any solutions ?

We actually suggest pressing JPSS between 175 and 190 C, for 20-30 seconds. If you see yellowing of the image, it could possibly be due to scorching. I would suggest lowering the temperature or the time to see if that helps.
If you are using OEM inks the Epson yellow is known to overpower images when pressed. You can try lowering the saturation in the image before printing but this may or may not work. Regular refill pigments have the same issue, but not as badly. You can also find heat transfer inks that don't color shift at all but they don't work well for general printing, you have to dedicate the machine only to heat transfers.
I'm using pigment from Fotorite. The images seemed fine before pressing, either that or i didn't notice. So think it could indeed be some slight scorching. I'll try again tomorrow with reduced temp/time and see how that works out.

Thanks for the tips!

How did it go?

Edit:
I spoke with Shane from CityInkExpress (Fotorite) and said:
"that people have issues with the colors fading after wash(1. wash, 2. wash etc. not just down the road)"
and she said:
"Sorry yes ultimately it will fade"

So this product(fotorite) is not made for Head transfers, even tho they name there product that.
