I haven't even had a chance to set up a printer and buy shipping label stickers yet, but I need to get a bunch of orders out right away.

Is it acceptable at the USPS to write the return address and ship to information on the front of the poly mailer? Would I need to do anything else? Could I just write, in the center of the mailer, something like this:

Return Address
Oddity Clothing
100 address st.
city, state zip

MAIL TO:
person's name
person's address
city, state zip

You can also pay for your shipping online and then print the ship labels on paper. Then tape them to the poly mailers with clear packing tape and cover the whole paper so it makes it water proof. That is the cheap way of doing it :) Or you could probably just go to the ups store and get the label sheets of stickers, that you can also print right in a regular printer. I usually get the free labels from them and then just pay and print them online.

I am shipping with the USPS though, and I need to get these out tomorrow morning so I don't really have time to go get labels. The whole problem is that I just don't have a printer set up for this yet. Also, how can they tell how much it weighs for you to pay online?

But most importantly, will writing it on like I said be accepted with USPS? I really don't want to write out 33 mailers and then have them say they can't ship them.

I dont see why they would have a problem with it

Do you have a working printer available to you? You could just go into Microsoft Word, type up the return address and whatever else info you need to, neatly cut the info away from the rest of the paper that way you dont tape an entire sheet of paper to the mailer, and then tape it onto the mailer with clear packing tape, covering it entirely

Me personally, I wouldnt want to hand write them simply because it doesnt seem as professional, you know?

Chances are, if you dont have packing tape, printer ink, etc, etc. You can run up to the closest 24hr WalMart

Which ever way you choose, I wish you the best of luck

offset your return address to the top left corner of the package
or the P.O. system might think that is the --ship to address-- . . .

when I use to write out the shipping labels . . especially packages being sent to Canada . . a few of the package came back to me . ..

P.O. system is not 100% human handled . .

I suggest writing the return address smaller and in the top left corner of the package . . and make the ship to address much larger . .
and
with the weather become snowy already in different parts of the world . .
I would put clear packing tape of the shipping address
