Im a graphic designer, but Im no way in love with web design, so I would like the experts to share their opinion with me on the subject. I want to create a site with e-commerce capabilities as well as to include my portfolio but I want an easily manageable setup that I can: process and keep track of orders on, easily arrange and upload/offload designs.
I essentially would like for this site to be responsive as the demand for business and surfing/online purchases, in general has shifted away from pcs and desktops unto the smaller devices.
I would like a simple template but I'm unsure of how best to achieve this: html/css/javascript? wordpress? joomla?
I'm leaning more towards to the wordpress, joomla types.

An out of the box CMS (WordPress, Joomla, etc.) would probably be the easiest way to go. There are several plugins and modules available for shopping cart integration. Templates are plentiful, so there should be no problem finding something that suits your taste.
