A client wants me to make a few changes to the text on this logo:
, and then they want to print it on a t-shirt. (I didn't design the logo, and they are happy with it. They just want a tagline added and a letter changed.) I would only be responsible for supplying them with an Illustrator file suitable for printing on a t-shirt, and they would deal with the printer/vendor. I've only worked with printing on paper and magnets, so I don't know what, if any, limitations there are to printing on t-shirts. My main concerns are the drop shadow, and how detailed the wings are. Do you see any problems with either of these issues? Do you see any other potential problems? Thanks!

The detail in the wings is not an issue for the most part; a good printer will have no problem with that. The drop shadow will not really print on fabric like it does on paper or shows on screen. A very good printer will do a decent job with the drop shadow, but a mediocre or bad printer will just make it look dirty. You might lose the drop shadow.

If your talking about screen printing it is possible. As a screen printer a ai file in vector is all you need the drop shadows can be printed with halftones. Sublimation is an option but polyester is the only garment for perfect results. 50/50 works but the cotton portion will fade. DTG is also an option but I can't really give any advice for this cause I outsource this. 100% is what my printer uses for DTG
