I pressed several different sample packs from several companies and all the transfers have a soft feeling. I want to get a rough feeling but don't know how. Is it the companies I'm using, too little pressure, or not enough heat? I'm printing them on an AL style 1901.

Most folks are delighted that transfers are SOFT. Usually you can soften a rough transfer by repressing with a silicon or baking sheet. But no as simple to make one rough. Usually rough hand tees are not transfered but directly applied to the garment. Good luck with finding a TRANSFER co that can accommodate your requirements.

What products have you tried and what is the reason that you want a rough feeling?

Even if you get the rough surface, it'll probably be soft after washing it. These transfers are supposed to be soft; that's part of the selling point.
