Hello all. This is my first time posting so i don;t know if this is the right place for my questions. I just started my sole proprietorship and am ready to start making my t-shirts but am confused on several things.
1. To make a wholesale account with American Apparel, they are asking for a re-sale number, but I dont have one. I am planning on making shirts and selling them wholesale myself retailers, so I will not be actually selling the shirts retail. Do I still need a re-sale number if I am not selling retail?

2. I have been talking to a few silk screeners and just wanted to see what you guys thought of this quote- 1 color, foil, 17"x15" for a run of 36 would cost me $5.30, not including the shirts and tags. Too much

Thanks so much in advance for your answers

1. You still need a re-sale license. They are pretty easy to get. Search on your state website for details.

2. I don't know much about foil, but you should also check with your printers about getting AA. Due to their volume, they may be able to get it cheaper than you can.
