I am trying to grasp a better understanding of "big" picture of the T-shirt business - I was wondering if you guys have any idea as to where do the big whole sellers / distributors of t-shirt and other items get their supply from? Do they manufacture them overseas?

you mean mass production ? All the major manufacturer brands of both blanks and retail have an office or a manufacturing unit located in asia ( bangladesh , vietnam taiwan etc. )

Asia means long lead time , huge amounts , cheap

turkey means short lead time , quality , expensive

Yes, that is what I meant as in where do they mass produce their T-shirts in a garment factory - Do they own their factories or is it outsourced?

Just curious as to why turkey has shorter lead time and better quality/expensive compared to the other nations?
