We just ran across something like this and found they were custom to the retailer. Not sure if that is the case here but if you had the tags then you could find out.

I know they aren't custom to the retailer since I have seen multiple companies selling the same product. The only difference is they put their logo on them

I'm not really looking for board shorts. I want something with a side pocket. After seeing these in a bigger view they have a side pocket, but not like I'm looking for.

I looked through the 3 brands I own and 2 of the 3 only have tags saying the size and made in Pakistan.

These are nothing at all what I'm looking for, but thanks for the suggestion.

The shorts I want have an elastic waist, drawstring on the inside and a cell phone pocket on one side or both sides.

You could make them from scratch from factories. Big quantity would give you a price advantage too.
