Working in corel. Making white text to print on black shirt. What is the procedure? If i change text color to wite can't see text, if i put on black background, prints background white and text unprinted black? Help!

Not using your DTG printer, but what I normally do when printing in this type of scenario is I create my background fill, then I create a new layer (Tools, Object Manager, the create new layer button is down below). I then lock and turn off printing for the layer the background fill is on, then you must click the new layer (should be Layer 2) to start designing on. You should be able to see your design, and the black will no longer print.

when printing white on black with the anajet I just type what I want in corel, turn it white export to my documents, open in ekstudio (rip) and turn the background black and there it is ready to print.

What RIP are you using? If you are using a Print-To RIP application (i.e. standard version of RIP Pro, Flexi-Jet,...), you need to add a small percentage of cyan to the white color so that way when the RIP flattens the file (i.e. rasterized), it can tell the difference between what was transparent and what you want to print white ink for.

If you are using a Print-From RIP application (Fast RIP, EK Digital and the new Print-From applicaiton from RIP Pro), you can bring the graphic into the RIP application with a transparent background and then the RIP will know what is going to be transparent versus white.

I would call your distributor or find someone that is using the same RIP that you have to give you the instructions. Some RIPs will process the information differently and this might confuse you. Hope this helps.

Simple do a trans backgound, Out your text in black so you can see it. When printing turn of the colour print layer to 0 count and the white to 2 count this will then print 2 layers of white and no colour at all. You canb do any full colour print in only white this way. You do 1 layer but I like to do 2 layers of white when doing a white only print. Just leave 2mins between printing the second white layer to allow to dry a little. It is ver y simple this way. Set this up as an enviroment so when ever you want to print a white only print it is just the case of clicking on this and it will print white only. This works with both rip pro and print pro.

With RIP Pro, generate your text in solid black with a transparent background (or in Corel, no background) - choose WHITE INK LAYER in your driver, be certain to select the proper WHITE INK RESOLUTION and then print. Done!
