So as I continue to teach myself and ride this never ending learning curve of terms and settings I ask for assistance with another basic (to you guys) operation. Every single print to my Viper from my PS cs6 (a template that I have recieved from Coldesi, Thank You) in order to layout my artwork has not been reproducing as intended on the shirts.

I am having issues with white alignment as it is slightly off from the color layer as well as my entire design happens to always be printing off of the platten.

What settings should i be using to properly print or what steps have i not prepared properly.

Thanks.

Ok two things can be happening one is your platen size in rip does not match actual. Second is there should be a feed setting in the rip or the printer, more likely the rip this will change your white vs cmyk alignment, a very common issue. U may find that u have to set a feed for each resolution.

Thanks, Spiderx1. Yesterday I attempted to first adjust platen size to get the printer set on center first before i adjust the feed to align. I confirmed that the rip pro platen is 16.5x13. The Photoshop cs6 print preview is also 16.5x13 as well as the dtg viper w.white ink printer properties. When i push the load button the platen still rolls itself all the way that the middle of the platen is where printing begins and of course off the top margin.

i used a color test print template and filled the whole space hoping it will print all of the space. Interesting enough it only printed upto 13" of the shirt as the platen kept moving forward and off the platen going towards the next one. That left me assuming that the dimensions were backwards. So i created a template at 13x16.5 and did so for all the locations mentioned. To my suprise it still printed 13" long and kept rolling the platen down for more printing.

Well in the mean time make a file that has a vertical line and a horizontal line one half the way down the platen.
You are trying to find center left and right as well as fore and aft. Then measure where they print on the platen and offset artwork as required.

after a reply back from Coldesi the Tech recommended that the problem is the media sensor (photo attached) and that the templates should be adjusted to 17x29. Worse case scenerio i will large the image canvas and offset the image as mentioned.

now time to do more research on how to lenghten the stick on the sensor. As per the tech the sensor is triggered and stops the platen in its proper place. Ehh, makes sense, worth a try!

TBT he was right. I created white and magenta lines on the template and it outlines the platen perfectly. All I did was just disconnected the sensor and reconnected it, sensor was already at its highest point. now onto white ink under color alignment.

Good afternoon, I'm having trouble with the first passes of white ink in the initial part of the platen. Attached a picture because I did not explain it well.
If anyone knows the cause would appreciate some help.
Thank you!
