What is this White Ink agitation feature and when to use it?

It is a feature that agitates the white ink in the lines by sending the print head carriage back and forth the carriage rail for 5 minutes. It is recommended that you do this every morning before your print. This helps minimize the waste associated with doing cleanings on the white ink side.

Looks like a ninja feature since I updated the firmware. Found no info on it in the latest manual.
