Hello all, yesterday during a routine nozzle check I noticed our white 1 print head was not firing at all. The nozzle check turned up absolutely no ink coming out of the first print head. I've tried just about everything I could think of, I did another tube clean, normal/powerful clean, replaced the filter on the tubing that feeds the print head. We do weekly / daily maintenance as required and recommended by Brother. The only peculiar thing I notice is that when I remove the ink cartridge for White 1 I notice a lot of ink on the backside of the cartridge in that little recessed circle that the needle feeds into. I am unsure if this is related or not, but my other print cartridges do not have that at all. Also, below the print heads themself where they rest is the 8 black plastic little channels where ink rests, on white 1 it has more ink on it than any of the others, and it seems flooded (again not sure if its related or not) I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge and terminology about the machine (I was just hired to digitally print a few weeks ago so I'm catching on as fast as I can.

Thanks so much!!

jguerin21, depending on the age, number of prints and how the printer was maintained, there are of couple of items that may cause a blockage. If you are seeing extensive build up on the capping station you will want to clean both the cap, wiper and print head surface with a clean stick for capping station and wiper and a clean applicator stick for print head surface. Instructions for cleaning both areas can be found on our GT3 Cookbook, http://bit.ly/2ztCoeu.
If you have already performed these steps and the issue persists we recommend giving us a call. If you’re located within the US or Canada, please call us at 877-4Brother or contact your original dealer if outside these areas.
