I have a Craft Robo Pro. I'm going to be making security shirts for some night club. Allow me to explain my issue:

I created white (inkless basically) words spelling SECURITY in Adobe Illustrator, used cutting master 2 to put the registration marks around everything.

I used dark t-shirt transfers for this, and they are 8.5 x 11 When I pressed the letters on the black shirts, the black kinda started to show through because the transfers are too thin.

I'm wondering, are there 8.5 x 11 vinyl sheets? Or do you recommend rolls better? Could anyone show me what I "SHOULD" be using?

Also if I get a roll, that means I can't print registration marks. Does the cutter know where to plot? Or am I supposed to manually position it? I'm so... confused.. Please help me step by step, because I am a dummy!

Oh yea oh yeah, I used illustrator before. Is it going to work with rolls? Or is there another program to use specifically for lettering and plotting without registration marks? (using rolls)

edit:

Oh ummm one more question. When using vinyl, can you press it the way you do light shirts? (reverse it and go face down) or do you have to peel it off the backing and place it on the shirt facing up?

Use siser easy weed. Convert to curves and cut. Charge what you can get. your cost will be low on these, well under a buck for the vinyl.

ah fantastic thanks for your quick reply. so i would like to get one thing straight.

if i cut my letters with this easy weed, i'd be able to peel back the extra background and press it face down?

(meaning i'd have to plot it in mirror right?)

hmm it does say 15" wide... don't think it'll fit in the CRP... does look very promising. perhaps it will fit?
