Hello everyone! I recently wanted to get back into making t-shirts. In the past I have utilized heat transfer presses and using Laser-One opaque with some moderate results. I am looking to get more advanced with my production as this is a new side business venture I want to get into.
I am wondering it is cost efficient to purchase a new screen printing machine for my new business. The only I am currently looking at is the 6/4 Win Series from Riley Hopkin. I currently am just starting out so I have to build up my customer base. I have very little experience with screen printing but I get the general flow of how the machine operates after reading and watching video tutorials.
I also wanted to utilize plastoils as well and I know that the screen printing machine goes hand in hand with this technique. I am definitely going to be purchasing a heat transfer press as I wanted to try out this new JPSS paper that seems to be receiving rave reviews, I just want to know if it would be viable to purchase a screen printing machine.
The budget I set aside for this side business is $4,000 as it is something for me to do when I am not at my full time job. I want to be able to create quality designer t-shirts but at the same time still able to handle larger quantity orders as well. If you were in my shoes, what would you do?
Thank you very much for your time! And I look forward to hearing your input.
