I'm looking for a 4 color 4 station press, I was originally looking at a vastex for about $2200, but it's a little out of my budget. I'm trying to stay around $1500. I don't want one of those crappy presses that you see on ebay for under a grand. So my question is... Is it possible to get something decent for around $1500? If so, what do you recommend as start up? Must be a 4 color 4 station, no table tops please. Thanks!

I don't have any experience with that press I just saw it on youtube a while back & would have looked into it if it was available when I started out. I was using a 4 color 1 station silver press last year. Now I have a Vastex V-1000 4/6. Have you looked at the other Ranar press on that site that has micros & is upgradeable? The price is a bit more than you want to pay though.

Yes I believe the one with micros was around $2700. This would be a start up press so I don't really need the best of the best, I just don't want the lowest of the low. I'm going to look into the roller bearing registration and try to figure out what that is.

The silver press that I was using had no micro reg & it was still possible to do multiple colors it just took longer to set up. I don't know of any (Brand New) 4/4 presses with micros in that price range. I started with a one color table clamp on press & worked with that until I was able to buy what I wanted. This is Just my two cents.

I was actually looking at and considering that press. It looks pretty good, only thing is it doesn't have micro registration. It says it has roller bearing registration. I've never heard of that, is it hard to work with?
The roller bearing registration refers to the bearings on the registration gate that ensure the print arms go down straight and without movement.
Not the same as micro registration, it has no bearing(!) on the adjustment of the screen.
