which printer to buy for printing film positives?

hey guys, which printer is most recomended for seprations and burning positives? Laser or inkjet? which brand is preffered? intend to spend around 1k, want only black and white.:rolleyes:

I think that inkjet gives a darker positive, but that's just me.
thanx, which brand? approx price? I need A3 size
Ive got an epson 3000, I picked it up on craigslist for 40 bucks. i just needed to pull the ink heads and clean em . But after that..... wow very nice prints.

Good for half tones also.
I use an Epson 7800. Great films, I have had it for about 8 months. Last year I went through 3 epson R1800's. I print about 15 to 20 films a day. If you buy an ink jet you need a good rip software.
I use Epson R1800's with AccuRip software. They will print really opaque halftones.
Epsons are the best for A2 or above, Canon ix4000/5000 does a good job as well at A3.
