I went to a presser nearby to let him print some examples for me, but this is the 4th time I really wasn't happy about the results.

I'm planning to buy an Epson Workforce 1100 because a friend mine owns a heat press and I saw on the forums that it is possible and affordable for a lowlowlow budget project to start with to print t-shirts on my own with this.

The t-shirts that I'm going to print are all black, with a coloured print on it, here's an example of the actual tee's :

Now since I'm really a newby in actually printing tee's I'd like to know what kind of ink is best to use, and what kind of paper.. I've looked up some information and read some posts but I'm not sure what to buy now for best quality..

Thanks!

Inkjet transfers on dark shirts will have a solid backing which you will have to trim around to the shape of your graphic, unless you like having a big square of plastic on the front of the shirt.
If you intend to sell these online, you might find yourself with a lot of unhappy customers.
You'd be better off finding someone with a dtg printer, as the previous poster suggested, and ordering a handfull of each design at a time to try and keep the per shirt cost down so you can put a few coins in your pocket.

Thanks for the reactions, indeed it would be better to find someone with a DTG printer, too bad I really can't find any affordable companies in Holland.. I've been searching for it for 3 months now so I kinda gave up hope..

I was thinking of buying my own DTG printer, but stopped looking for it when I saw the prices :D

Too bad, because all the designs, shippings, webshop and promotional stuff is done! The only thing we miss is a good printer..
