Both and Neither..... but more seriously....

You didn't provide enough info to answer that.
What are the shirts made of, what color shirts, how many shirts, etc.

If all you're printing is white 100% polyester garments, then dye sublimation is arguably better.

If you want to print ANYTHING else, screen printing is better.

If your goal is to print only on Light color polyester and a different print for each tshirt (small quantity)
then sublimation is the way to go, it's easy job with machines doing almost everything

in the other hand if you're willing to do some handy work and print on cotton and other materials with a big to huge quantity then Screen printing is the best one.
If you're doing a large run of the same design, screen printing would most likely be more cost effective. It does take a lot of space and the chemicals to prep and clean are pretty potent. I switched from screen printing to sublimation printing some time ago and have found that both have their pros and cons, but it certainly isn't an apples to apples comparison.
Really so excited .. thanks a lot!
can not compare the 2
Some say sublimation on light colors but IMO that always looks like crap. Sublimation doesn’t do white so any color behind changes all the sublimated colors. Looks amazing on white. SKdave does all over sublimation, they start with white garments and can make a black shirt or any other color. There is also cut and sew. If you plan on printing and pressing your own white is the way to go but a good printer, inks with proper ICC profiles are must for best quality and little error. You can mess with the inks without profiles but it takes a lot of time tweaking and wasting ink and material.

Screen printing works well for large runs, all color shirts and material as long as proper inks are used for each substrate.
