Which Garment Vinyl To Buy??? UK Newbie

3384 Views 9 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  creativeeyemedia
Hi all,

Wondering what is the entry vinyl I should be purchasing to get going?

I see a lot of Flex Vinyl, should I get a few rolls of this to wet my feet?

This would be a Cameo and Heat press set up, cotton gildan tees, chest lettering.

thanks

Where do you plan to buy your vinyl? ebay or do you have a supplier? im not to sure on if there is a certain one you need to fit in a cameo i have a gx24 and use Easy Flex/Super Flex most often about £4.50 a metre.
Well is there anyway you can get stitched up on eBay like say with a sub standard vinyl?
I'm more inclined to use a company online, mpd get some good reviews.
I'm after a softer feel vinyl, so is flex the entry level vinyl ?
what's difference between easy/super
thanks ian
Ian,

try yourself some of MDPs hotflex vinyl, it comes in 500mm rolls so youd need to cut it down to fit into the cameo unless you bought the 300x500mm sheets from them (cheaper to buy the roll and cut it yourself)

Also ive heard that Resolute DTG have just released theyre own brand of Flex, not many colours just yet i dont think but judging by the rest of their stuff the flex will be amazing!

Regards

Connor

Jet Pro Soft Stretch for lights is awesome. Use with pigment inks. Search for JPSS in the forums...

cheers for that.
do they do a dark too?
They do an equivalent, but every transfer for darks I've used is really 'thick'...check the forums, pretty much what everyone will tell you...
I am using transfer paper from Yolo. Just goole search them. They are fine for inkjet printing.
